Instructions for a Process

Once you have a blog, you need to become the voice of authority.  One way to do this is by writing trustworthy instructions so blog readers can perform a skill or process.  You will select a blog-related subject that you can write and post the instructions for your readers.  Use the planner to create your post. This should include the following items:

  • An introduction section
  • A list of needed materials
  • A step-by-step process for performing the task, with no missing/out of order info
  • A warning/caution section
  • A conclusion

  1. I am writing a blog about how to plan a fun night with your buddy. This is for peer buddies, students and adults to help make buddies nights awesome for the night.

For this night, you will need only a few things:
    -A buddy
-A phone (if you need to contact them)
    -Transportation

To perform this task, you might have to call their parents before to make sure the time and date works out, provide possible transportation and allow more time for your buddy and you to enjoy your night.

Here is a few awesome steps to know how to have a good night with your buddy.

Here is your list of instructions:
-Get in touch with your buddies parents and come up with an idea for what to do.
-Ask to talk to your buddy and tell them the plan. (They will usually want to do whatever you plan for them)
    -Talk about the plan
-When the day comes, call again to make sure the plans are still on and talk about transportation
-Go and pick up your buddy and start driving to the place you are heading too.
-Have fun and spend quality time together.
-Leave and drop off your buddy and report to their parents about how it was.

    1. It looks like you have all of the pieces required for this post. I feel confident that if I was apart of best buddies that I would know how to plan a day with them. What kinds of things/activities do people normally do with their buddy?

    2. Over all it looks good. Is there any cautions with doing this? The steps are really good and simple. What are the things you usually do with buddies? Can you do anything? Add a conclusion.

  3. Being a cashier is a pretty simple task. Here you will find a formal instruction guide on how to check someone out while cashiering. This is intended for anyone interested in being a cashier or just want to know what it’s like on the other side.

To properly check someone out behind the register you will need the following:
A shopper who has items that need to be checked out
    Yourself
    Bags (not always necessary)

    Step by Step
    Greet the customer
    Take item(s) from belt
Make sure barcode is facing scanner
    Scan the item
Place item(s) in bag(s) accordingly if applicable. (repeat steps 2-5 when needed)
    Press total
Tell the customer their total amount due
    Select the customer’s payment option
    Hand them their receipt
Place remaining bags into customer’s cart (if applicable)

In order to successfully check someone out, you must be polite. When bagging, be cautious of how you place items so nothing gets squashed or damaged. When you are finished, always check to make sure they have all of their bags and that nothing gets left behind. It is also helpful to be fast but not a necessity.

The end result should be a happy customer that has successfully had all of their items checked out and a cashier that knows what to do.

    1. I think this is really helpful if someone wants to be a cashier. I think that this is kinda interesting and some people might want to be a cashier for the rest of their life.
I like how you tell the reader what kind of person you have to be.

    2. The organization on this is done really well. I like how you were descriptive of what you are going to need. Maybe tell more of what you do through steps 8-10, like how what you do to get the receipt etc. This made me realize what it is like when you are a cashier.

    3. Clarify what a belt is be precise with your step by steps. and maybe a longer end result. Then it looks good to me.

    2. I like the Netflix and Chill concept. I think your instructions are really helpful for someone who wants to sign up for a netflix account. Do you have any particular shows/food that are your favorite?

    3. This is a organized well. The introduction needs to have a little more detail. I feel like you need to include more materials even if its self explanatory like couch, footrest, drink tray, etc. I like how the steps are short and to the point.

  5. Barrel racing is a popular sport and is growing fast. I want to help beginner riders figure out how to run a barrel pattern. This is a very dangerous sport and I want everyone to do this safely and correctly.

To prepare for barrel racing, you will need the items listed below:
    -Horse
    -Saddle
    -Girth
    -Bridle
    -Arena
    -Helmet
    -Barrels

    Get your horse
    1.Tack up your horse
    2.Go into the arena
    3.Set up barrel pattern
    4.Get on horse
5.Do a light warm up with your horse to get their muscles moving healthy
6.Complete a warm up circle before first barrel
7.Make a straight line towards third barrel once you get close to first start to curve towards first barrel
8.Let go of rein and grab your horn
9.Keep inside calf pressure on the side to keep them rounded and kick with outside leg
10.When you complete going around the barrel send your hand forward and send your horse to second barrel
11.Put pressure with the inside calf and pick up inside rein then grab horn with other hand
12.Kick with outside leg to finish the barrel
13.Put hands forward then send to 3rd barrel
    14.Go straight to third barrel
15.Drop outside rein and grab horn
16.Keep inside calf pressure and kick without side
17.Finish third barrel and go home.

Because this is a dangerous, you should start with a walk or trot then move up to a canter then go to a fun. You should always wear a helmet. Always make sure your horse is sound and make sure the girth is on tight. Make sure you work your horse in a large space so you can have a decent barrel pattern size. Never canter or run your horse on grass, it is a slipping hazard. Make sure you have good footing for the horses so they stay safe and keep you safe.

The end result should be your horse knowing the barrel pattern, and not doing the pattern sloppy. This is a process that you need to start slow and work your way faster when your horse builds up the muscle. Just make sure to keep your horse conditioned and healthy so they will be able to run barrel the best they can. Trailer out to the shows and run the best you guys can.

    1. I think this is super interesting because I am not aware of any of this stuff and I have no idea what any of this means. I think that this would help alot of people if they do barrel race.

    2. Maybe go into more detail on how to tack up a horse, otherwise maybe just and more details to your directions. Otherwise it's good.

    3. This is very detailed and it seems like it would be very helpful to your target audience. Because I'm not familiar with this activity/sport I would need more explanation. Is barrel racing a competitive sport and have you ever gotten injured?
