The first post required for your blog is based on the in-class style lessons for steps #1-4, where you created a distinct core statement, the persona you want to portray and your audience.
Your job is to write 3 paragraphs:
- In the first paragraph, introduce your topic, including your “core statement” at the beginning of the paragraph. Then, give some explanation of what you plan to write about here, what angle you will cover and what you hope readers will get/learn from your blog. What will readers expect to see that is different from other blogs like yours?
- In the second paragraph, introduce yourself. Write 3 essential personality traits of your blogging “persona”. Include why you have passion for the topic, what assets make you credible and why you think there is demand for your ideas. You should also include some details about your writing style and attitude.
- In the third paragraph, who is your ideal reader? Use the AUDIENCE preparation in step #4 to write a profile with 4-5 traits you expect from those who would find your ideas interesting.
Barrel racing is a very intense sport. I believe it is important to have a lot of dedication for barrel racing and a game plan for each race. I plan to provide help to anyone who needs it. I want to put out help that people are struggling with. I hope readers will be able to use these tips to improve their riding skills. With this blog there will be a lot of tips from how to improve you as a riders.
ReplyDeleteI am Kama J. I've been riding since I was 6 years old, i'm 17 years old currently. I always had a passion learning more about horses and now I set my life on the barrel racing stage. I have learned a lot of information from shadowing veterinarians, talking to trainers to look for help and a bunch of horse people. I think there is a demand for these ideas because there are always people looking for tips on how to ride better. Also for riders just getting into this sport they want to know ideas on how to get better. Lastly for the intermediate riders who purchased a new project horse and they need ideas on how to make the horses work better.
My Ideal readers are barrel racers look to seek help on anything to make their horses work better to saddle they should pick out. I want to have a strong feeling towards this and make sure to give my best help. I want people of all ages to read this and anyone who is in the barrel racing field. I want to help give tips to others who need them to make them better writers. I want to keep readers engaged by solving problems a lot of riders have, and I am going to give my best advise.
I like everything about your blog so far. Your topic is working for you since you have experience. I'd like to see more information on how to barrel race step by step. Everything else is perfect. On point. :)
DeleteI really like this topic and you have a clear sense of what you want to write about, which is great. Make sure you are checking your posts for grammar and sentence structure, so that you sound as polished as you are passionate. I am looking forward to knowing more here, because I have very little knowledge of horses or these sports.
DeleteI think this is really interesting and good for people that want to learn how to do this. You have super good information about this topic as well.
DeleteNetflix And Chill
ReplyDeleteI believe food will change the experience of your Netflix entertainment.
I have a raging passion for Netflix and Chill the reason why, is because I’ve done it a lot. My family has many accounts on Netflix and enjoy eating food chilling out. I have a few Netflix shows I’ll share my review on and also many junk foods as well.
I am eighteen years old and everyone who reads this will benefit from it. My tips will be very helpful. I have studied food and have a college credit in Culinary Cuisine from a high school class.
I like how you said what exactly what you are going to talk about. You are very straight forward about what you are going to say. Some things you could add would be the tone your writing in also the audience your writing to. Were you thinking of including recipes of food that we could make?
DeleteI think the title is clever, but you must explain the real angle here for the reader. You haven't and this might be misleading if people see the title and think it is about the more common meaning of the phrase. If you don't explain the angle, readers don't know. Also, I'd like a sense of the audience...who will read this, do you think? You haven't said here. Keep pushing yourself for clear content....I'm interested to see how you pull together the two topics.
DeleteI think this is really funny. You need to have a little more writing though for it to make complete sense about this topic and what you can watch or maybe some good netflix shows.

ReplyDeleteI’m 17 years old and a cashier at walmart. I believe that to be a cashier you have to have decent people skills. Everything I will be sharing is from my point of view and my personal experience as a cashier.
ReplyDeleteThis is my second job dealing directly with customers and I’ve been doing it for over a year.
Teens are always looking for a new job if they’re not satisfied with their old one so I think they might be interested with what being a cashier entails.
I like all the background information about yourself and your work experience with people. I would like to see some interactions (good or bad) with dealing with customers. What tone are you using for this, also what audience you are writing too? I think that you would want to write to 16 year olds looking for a job.
DeleteI agree with Kama....background is great, but we need more. You might not want to tell where you work, but we need an indication. We also need a sense of what you do and who might read this. Can you give more specifics about what you want to show here? I need to see the core statement clearly. However, I am guessing there are good stories. I can't wait to hear them.
DeleteI think this has alot of information that could be helpful for people that want to be a cashier. It gives alot of good tips about the topic as well.

DeleteI believe that this Best Buddies organization is life changing and can help kids with developmental and and intellectual disabilities in so many ways, but it can also help peers learn more patience and respect for differences.
ReplyDeleteHi, welcome to my blog. I am Mackenzie and I am a senior at Kettle Moraine High School. I have been super involved in Best Buddies since my freshman year, so it has been 4 years. This year, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to be a peer buddy, where you have one on one time with a student with disabilities. I take my buddy to dances, basketball games, the zoo, and to work out weekly at the YMCA to get her into shape. At school, I often see her more than once a day. I am hoping to write a lot from the parents point of view and how they see Best Buddies as a program itself. There is definitely a need for a Best Buddies blog, because a lot of people are not aware of this program. It is so much more than just kids with these disabilities, it is helping them through things that they probably wouldn't do on their own.
The ideal audience that I am seeking is parents of students with disabilities, teachers, and administrators. Also, I would like other high school students to read this as well. A lot of people know about this club, but aren't involved. I am not asking them to join, or be a huge part of it, but I am just asking that they know about it, and that some words hurt others. It impacts so many other people than just the buddies. It impacts me, the officers, their families and the administrators. I want to keep readers engaged by adding people to this organization, which helps not only buddies, but also other people respect differences.
I love that your passion is clear....it comes right off the screen. I really like the personal story here, and I'm hoping to see more of this moving forward. What you might need to do is tell the audience what Best Buddies is exactly....if I didn't know, would your post make this clear? Could an outsider figure it out or get a sense of this from your post? However, the audience and the persona are great. Keep it up.
