Writing a list is a good way to give your readers valuable information they can use and take away from the blog. Your job is to select an angle for your list post that relates to your blog topic: a list of examples, important products/places/people, what to do OR not to do, etc. Be creative, have fun and do a bit of research about your topic to see what you can find to help create your list. Your list should be an original angle and should include the following:
- A title that catches the angle of your post
- At least 5 and no more than 10 items
- Clearly numbered/labeled items that are parallel in type
- Provide relatable examples or valuable take-away explanations for each item, that show how/why it made your list
- Show some logical order/organization (alphabetical, chronological importance, etc) based upon the angle you chose
- Be grammatical, proofread for errors and easy to read/scan for readers.
I am making a list about the top 10 places to take your buddy. The purpose of this list is to help you find places to take your buddy that your buddy will enjoy. If you are at a lack of things to do with your buddy, here is a few ideas:

I feel like this was appropriate because a lot of people are always asking what they can do with their buddies. This year, my best friend is the president of Best Buddies at our high school. I have been doing a lot to help her this year, and a lot of people come to us to see what they can do that their buddies would enjoy.
DeleteI made it alphabetical. Really, it did not have to be organized in any special way, but I had to choose something, so I just put them in alphabetical order.
I hope that people join best buddies next year, like some of my underclassmen friends, even when I am gone at college. It is an amazing club that everyone should be involved in.
I think that the most important thing about blogging is being organized and knowing what you are going to write about. A lot of times, I found myself struggling for things to write about, so I had to look at my planning sheet and add more ideas.
Essentials for Barrel Racing
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot that is of equipment that is need with barrel racing. There are a few needs and a lot of wants. In this list I will tell you what you need to work with barrel racing. This fits into my audience with the inexperienced barrel racers because they are not sure on what they need for barrel racing preparation.
1. Ability to get a horse
To barrel race you are going to need to either buy a horse or at lease a horse. This is a big part because you need an animal that will trust you and you can trust so it can run the pattern the best it can. If you decide to lease you have to make sure the horse is allowed to be able to get trailered to shows.
2. Barrel Saddle.
A barrel saddle is needed because other saddled dont have the same depth in seat so that you butt doesn't fall out of the seat. These also have a taller horse so it is easier to hold onto while going around barrels.
3. Big riding area
Some practice drills can be done in a smaller area but with working the pattern you want a nice big area. This is so that the horse gets used to working a normal size pattern. The space can be either inside or outside wherever it is available on your property or barn. One thing that is recommended when running the pattern outside is that the horse runs in dirt. Running in grass makes your horse run slower because they are concerned about slipping, this could ruin all your progress in the training.
4. Bridle with bit and reins
These are important as a part of the horse's tack. The bridle makes sure that the horses bit stays in its mouth, or make the hack a more stay in the right spot over the horse's nose. You're going to need the proper bit that your horse responds to the best otherwise they will not perform the best they can and they can pick up bad habits like having a hard mouth. The reins are needed so you can help direct your horse around the barrel and make them turn when needed.
5. Equipment
There are three major equipment pieces needed which is barrels, cones and poles. The barrel are so that you're able to have you horse get used to the pattern and make them more finished on the pattern. The cones are so you can practice all different types of drills so your horse doesn't get bored running the pattern but still make them work on circles. The poles are ones you can lay out so that they just walk, trot, and canter over to build up different muscles.
6. Money
Money plays a big factor in the horse world. You need to provide with the essential needs for them including feed, farrier, teeth, vet bills etc. Also the gas or diesel it takes to get to and from shows, clinics, or the vet. Entry fees are also not cheap, the more you enter the more it will cost.
7. Truck and Trailer
A truck and trailer can be a very essential part to barrel racing or just any horse owner. There needs to be a way to get your horse to and from shows and clinics. If you access to a truck and trailer that works too, or at least have someone going to the same show as you and trailer together.
This is an appropriate topic to my blog because it is everything you need to get you started on barrel racing. Some people come into this thinking that its cheap and with this list it will get you a start on how much it is actually going to cost. I put this in alphabetical order because there are so many and usually people pay more attention when it is in that order. I want new riders to know that this inst a cheap sport and it takes a lot of dedication and bonding. A lot of people think that this animal can just be ridden whenever and do perfect or be left out with not seeing them and being in a good condition. Also about how much is in it to become a barrel racer and these were just the bare minimum for it. I would not do this personally because it would take up too much of my time that I do not have, I'm always out at the barn or doing something so I personally don't have the time it requires to keep updated. If I had time I would randomly post online just to help people out.
Delete5 reasons why you shouldn’t be a cashier..
ReplyDelete1. It’s boring. You do the same thing the entire time and nothing new really happens. You're always just standing there ringing up customers, dealing with rude people, and annoying children.
2. People are rude. Almost everyday you have to deal with angry customers. Some people are anal about how their items are bagged but don’t tell you how they want it. One time, a customer was yelling at me because her card wasnt going through and when I tried to help, she yelled at me again because “she knew how to do it”. Turns out, she didn’t know her pin number to do debit and kept hitting cancel. So all I had to was tell her how to do credit.
3. You have to stand the entire time. If you have back problems, this isn’t the job for you. The mats they give you to stand on do little to nothing so working an eight hour shift blows. You would think that because Walmart is such a big corporation that they could provide a little bit more support.
4. People come to your lane when you’re closed. I’m pretty sure everybody knows that when the light is off, it means the lane is closed. But people still think they can sneak in like we won’t notice. Every time I turn my light off I always have someone rush in and put their items up. Then they get mad when I tell them that I’m closed and walk away.
5. Children. My favorite part is when kids are standing there playing with the bags and rip them all off. Also, kids try to reach over and scan items themselves. They also like to sit on the bag turner when I’m bagging all of their groceries and not move when I ask. And kids can be really gross. One time a kid tried handing me their dirty tissue and I had to refrain from puking all over them.
I chose this subject because everyone always asks me what it’s like being a cashier and honestly I like it. I organized my list in the order of occurrence. I chose to do 5 reasons why not to be a cashier because the negatives always seem to stand out more than the positives. Despite this, there are a lot of good things about my job that make me want to stay. I enjoyed blogging because it was nice to be able to write informal.
